Prof.  Hongyu YU was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society in Octorber 2021 for his contribution to education, research, and service in aerospace engineering.

Prof. Hongyu YU’s research focuses on smart structures, sensors and sensing platforms, and miniature instrumentation with applications for cube satellites, aerial vehicles and consumer electronics.  His research is to seek the excellence and impact to both academics society and application demands.

The Royal Aeronautical Society now has over 22,500 members and has become an international, multidisciplinary professional institution dedicated to the global aerospace community.
